The 2024 Schools Soft Archery Championships is returning to Scotland next month.
The Championships will take place at Eastwood High School, in East Renfrewshire on Tuesday 21 May 2024.
Scottish Archery said they are now coming towards their third championships, bringing together all participating schools, after an extended break.
The aim is to build on the variety of soft archery school activity that is taking place and to allow pupils to use the skills they have gained to take part in a soft archery team competition.
Whether pupils are experienced or trying archery for the first time, it's all about fun and making connections with other schools.
Schools can enter teams within two age groups: Primary 4/5 and Primary 6/7.
Robert Clark, Scottish Archery’s Communities & Workforce Development Officer, said he was excited to see the event return: "We are looking forward to bringing this event back. Soft archery is popular within the school environment and this will give pupils the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned at school and experience some fun and friendly competition."
He added: "We feel that soft archery is a great way to introduce pupils to the sport and we are hoping that this particular event might even inspire pupils to join their local club and to make new friends."
