It's your chance to set a personal goal while raising vital funds for the Access Archery Fund (AAF), because this March, we're inviting everyone - from seasoned archery pros to those who've never even held a bow - to step up, shoot, or roll for a great cause with Marchers for Archers. Whether you want to crush a fitness goal or simply want to snag a stunning new medal for your collection, here is everything you need to know to get involved.
It’s entirely up to you. You set the goal, you choose the activity, and you help us make archery more accessible for disabled people across the UK. Your challenge doesn't even have to be archery-related! If you’d rather walk the dog, clock some miles in your wheelchair, or even host a bake sale, you’re still a "Marcher."
Participating is easy, and everyone is welcome - Archery GB members, schools, scouting groups, and the general public.
Pick your challenge: Decide what you want to achieve this March.
Set up your fundraising: Download a sponsorship form or set up a JustGiving page using our handy step-by-step guide.
Claim your reward: Head over to the Archery GB Shop to order your exclusive finishers’ medal. You can buy a single medal for £15 or a bundle of five for £60 - perfect for families or club groups!
Don't just take our word for it - here is why some of our Ambassadors and staff are taking the plunge this year:
Erin Ann Dobbin (Archery GB Ambassador): "I’m challenging myself to walk 10,000 steps every day and shoot a total of 1,000 arrows. I’m taking on this challenge to help raise vital funds for the Access Archery Fund, which works to ensure that more people with disabilities can experience the incredible sport of archery.”
Mark Braham (Coach & Ambassador): "I support the Paralympic team at Lilleshall most weeks so I've set myself a target of collecting 10,000 arrows for the team during the month of March."
Gayle Pink (Archery GB's Head of Participation): "I am challenging myself to do 10,000 steps a day to support Marchers for Archers. I want to help raise money for the Access Archery Fund, to help more people with disabilities experience the amazing sport of archery."
Every penny raised goes directly to the Access Archery Fund, administered by the Fletchers’ Trust. In April, the fund opens for applications from clubs and partners to:
You have all of March to complete your challenge, but medals must be ordered by 21 March to ensure you get yours in the April mail-out.
Good luck!
