This year's Start Archery Week saw a record-breaking number of people across the UK discover the joys of archery.
But this wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our fantastic archery clubs! We celebrate their contribution and highlight the mental health benefits associated with archery.
A colossal round of applause to the incredible archery clubs who flung open their doors and made Start Archery Week 2024 a record-breaker! Over 2,200 people across the UK got to experience the thrill of archery, all thanks to the tireless efforts of our dedicated clubs and volunteers.
This year, Start Archery Week shone a light on the powerful connection between archery and mental wellbeing. Many archers find that focusing on aiming and releasing the arrow provides a welcome escape from daily pressures, promoting mindfulness and inner peace. But that's not all! The warm and welcoming atmosphere fostered by these fantastic clubs creates a strong sense of community and belonging – another key factor for mental wellbeing. Clare and Matthew share their stories on how they found better mental health on an archery range.
